Catanzaro Supplements Vision Formula is a combination of herbs and nutraceuticals that provide eye tissue with specific antioxidants and blood vessel strengthening effects. The ingredients in this formula have been shown in research to help prevent age-related macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma. Free radical exposure is at the root cause of all these eye conditions and antioxidants like lutein, zeaxanthin, and astaxanthin protect delicate eye tissue. Grapeseed extract and bilberry are also a potent pair of antioxidants that enhance the strength and function of the visual and vascular systems. They support normal formation of connective tissue and strengthen capillaries. Most eye support supplements give you either too little or too much of these antioxidants, which can be counterproductive. When it comes to antioxidants, and in particular antioxidants for eye health, an optimal amount is best.

Equally important as to what you put into a supplement is what you leave out. Case in point, vitamin A and beta-carotene are often included in eye support supplements because vitamin A has been shown to improve eyesight and maintenance of visual acuity and beta-carotene is metabolized into vitamin A. However, vitamin A can be dangerous in excess amounts and a concentrated form of beta carotene from supplementation can have negative effects. Carrots contain beta-carotene, but they do not put you at risk of vitamin A overload because your body only converts beta carotene from this dietary source as needed. Not only is certified organic carrot powder safe and effective to use in a vision supplement, it acts as an excellent filler. Take a look at most products on the market. Many contain toxic and undesirable fillers and additives like hydrogenated oils, artificial colours, maltodextrin, microcystalline or hydroxypropyl cellulose, and/or magnesium stearate. We do not use these items in our Vision Formula.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a mucopolysaccharide occurring naturally throughout the human body and is found in highest concentrations in soft tissues of the body such as eyes, skin, and joints. It is an internal moisturizer for skin and joints. HA significantly preserves proper tissue hydration, elasticity, and joint lubrication as well as facilitating waste removal and enhancing nourishment to tendons and ligaments. Deficiencies can result in wrinkles, insufficient skin hydration, and deterioration of joints. HA has been used to support the healing process and minimize scar tissue. This material is not from animal sources.
